The project involves an open pit mine with surface processing plant to produce Nickel and Copper concentrates.</font></span></p><p style="margin: 0in 0in 12pt 38.5pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="line-height: 110%; font-size: 12pt; mso-bidi-font-weight: normal; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt;"><font face="Arial">It is the intent of Vale, NL to undertake projects to improve the process operations of the concentrator. These projects involve installing new piping to repurpose the rougher cleaner cells into scavenger cleaner cells, and installing new piping from the reclaim line header to the fresh water tank. </font></span></p><p align="center" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: center;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="text-transform: uppercase; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial;"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">2017 COncentrator workplace improvements</font></span></strong></p><p style="margin: 0in 0in 12pt 38.5pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="line-height: 110%; font-size: 12pt; mso-bidi-font-weight: normal; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt;"><font face="Arial">It is the intent of Vale, NL to improve workplace quality through yearly capital investment. This project is an on-going initiative to reduce risk to employees to as low as reasonable achievable (ALARA) in the concentrator and surrounding area by installing a steel wall lined with wear plates in the Primary Crusher surge pocket, adding a ventilation unit for the courier shack, adding access platforms for various sample cutters and pebble crusher shroud, dust control at the primary crusher building, and improve belt cleaning and clean up options for the pebble conveyors. </font></span></p><p align="center" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: center;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="text-transform: uppercase; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial;"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">2017 mine workplace improvements</font></span></strong></p><p style="margin: 0in 0in 12pt 38.5pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="line-height: 110%; font-size: 12pt; mso-bidi-font-weight: normal; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt;"><font face="Arial">It is the intent of Vale, NL to install a new rubber door in position 2 at the existing Light Vehicle Shop (LVS).</font></span></p><p align="center" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; text-align: center;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="text-transform: uppercase; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial;"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">2017 Site services workplace improvements</font></span></strong></p><p style="margin: 0in 0in 12pt 38.5pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="line-height: 110%; font-size: 12pt; mso-bidi-font-weight: normal; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt;"><font face="Arial">It is the intent of Vale, NL to improve workplace quality through yearly capital investment. These Projects are an on-going initiative to reduce risk to employees and the environment to as low as reasonable achievable (ALARA) in various areas of the complex.
